Teresa completed the PDC in 2014 and embarked on the Dip. in Applied Permaculture Design with the North Britain Institute in 2015. She co-teaches the PDC with Angus in Manchester and manages the School's Virtual Learning Environment. Teresa is our Northern School Events Coordinator and area contact in Central Manchester.

Teresa Pereira completed the Permaculture Design Course (PDC) in April 2014 and embarked on the Dip. in Applied Permaculture Design with the North Britain Permaculture Institute in October 2015. The Diploma journey has explored how to apply permaculture design to a series of ‘invisible structures’ and land-based projects.
Teresa applies the patterns of permaculture design thinking to lifestyle, community, and social projects. Her primary interest is holistically connecting people to natural environments, focusing on health and well-being, permaculture education, agroecology, ecovillage design, and bioregions.

In 2003, she studied biodynamic and organic gardening and started designing and growing edible gardens. What began as a hobby progressively became a line of work that led to the organic development of an environmental education practice and ecological garden design consultancy.
Teresa is the Learning and Education Development Coordinator at the Northern School of Permaculture and is responsible for the design and delivery of the following educational programmes:
- Ecological Gardening Essential Training Programme
- Urban Gardening and Practical Permaculture Skills
- Ecological Garden Design Course
- Introduction to Permaculture Design Course
