This full Permaculture Design course, certificated internationally by the Permaculture Research Institute will run on one Saturday per month, starting on Saturday 30 September 2023 (scroll down for the full dates).
The course will be held at The Broadbottom Community Centre. Broadbottom is on the road from Hattersley to Glossop. There are good public transport links to get there..

The course is open to all, regardless of any previous experience or literacy levels. We will follow the international guidelines to cover the course syllabus in full. The content and teaching style is aimed at those wishing to apply permaculture in any setting, although it is particularly suitable for those interested in developing livelihoods and enterprises. We want to help you apply permaculture thinking to a wide range of applications, in a flexible way. We aim to provide you with the tools to facilitate family and community-based projects of all kind. Many of our students go on to set up permaculture-inspired initiatives of their own. You can read more about people who will benefit from the course.
The course will be led by Angus Soutar with Marie Edwards and Paula Moses. Angus has rich experience of guiding and implementing permaculture design in a variety of commercial settings. He is keen to share this growing body of knowledge during, and after, the life of this course.

What will it cost and how can I pay?
The price for the complete course (12 days) is £600. We will ask for a deposit of £200 when you book to secure your place. Booking early - negotiate.
The fee includes on-going access to our virtual learning environment.

Venue for the course
The Broadbottom Community Centre is a modern building on the main road through the village that is home to pre-school activities in the village as well as the usual social functions. The venue has good transport links and is also accessible by wheelchair. Read more

The day starts at 10.00am and finishes at 5.00pm. We enjoy a shared lunch in the middle of the day.
